Grogan Library Readership is now available to everyone

Got a sermon to write, a talk to give or a particularly thorny
question to answer? Our library can help.

We are now open to subscribing members of the public and former students as well as current students. The Grogan Library covers subjects such as missiology, history and social studies as well as theology. Librarian Sylwia Grabowska-Szumska, adds: “four things make a good library: good quality books, unique resources, electronic archiving and most important of all a helpful librarian!”. Join the Grogan Library Readership scheme.

The Grogan Library over the years has built up into a first-class theological library in Scotland. It has particular strengths in youth and community work, urban mission, leadership and mission in the Western world. Other subjects include biblical studies, doctrine, church history, mission studies, practical theology, world religions, social studies, and children’s ministry.

The Library’s aim is to support teaching, learning and research in the college and external users, by building a library collection with a breadth and depth of religious and theological subjects, and provide access to a specialised resource base on Christian theology and practice.

The library is located within Scottish School of Christian Mission and is equipped with self-issue computers with full access to the library catalogue. Free WiFi is also available.

The library is open for students of the School. Membership for former students and external users is now available.
