Library members are entitled to borrow up to 5 items at any given time. Students of MA and PhD courses are allowed to borrow up to 15 items. The loan period is 1 calendar month. After this time books can be renewed, if items have not been reserved by another member.
Renewals may be done in person at the college, by phone, email, or online using your account login. To contact the library, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0141 552 4040 during library working hours.
Before the due date of renewal, a courtesy email will be sent informing you of the pending due date. After the due date has past, you will be sent an overdue notice.
Overdue Fines and Notices
A notice letter will be sent after the due date of return. Overdue fines are £0.20 per day per item. Borrowing privileges may be suspended, if the overdue fee is £5 or more. Users will receive a monthly reminder letter. After 3 months, items may be considered as lost and charged for accordingly.
Unpaid Library Fines and/or Other Charges
Students are required to pay all overdue fees and fines before graduating.
Lost and Damaged Books
Members are required to pay for damaged or lost books, by paying an amount equivalent to the replacement cost of the book.
