Students of Scottish School of Christian Mission are automatically enrolled in the library. The library also welcomes external members. To join, please visit www.sscm.ac.uk/library, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Initial library membership is for one year.
All new members will be provided with a library card. Please email email@example.com to arrange a time to collect this card and to be introduced the library.
Library members are entitled to borrow up to 5 items at any given time. Students of MA and PhD courses can borrow up to 15 items. The loan period is 1 calendar month. After this time books can be renewed, if items have not been reserved by another member.
Renewals may be done in person at the college, by phone, email, or online using your account login. To contact the library, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0141 552 4040 during library working hours. After the due date has past, you will be sent an overdue notice.
Logging in to Your Account Online
Access your account. To log into Heritage Online User Account, please use your Reader Code (Barcode on Library Membership Card or Membership number given via email) and your personal PIN. If your PIN is invalid, please contact email@example.com or call 0141 552 4040 during Library working hours.
The library offers reference services and research assistance for members and to help with assignments, dissertations and theses for students. This service is available from the librarian in person or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Overdue Fines and Notices
A notice letter will be sent after the due date of return. Overdue fines are £0.20 per day per item. Borrowing privileges may be suspended, if the overdue fee is £5 or more. Users will receive a monthly reminder letter. After 3 months, items may be considered as lost and charged for accordingly.
Unpaid Library Fines and/or Other Charges
Students are required to pay all overdue fees and fines before graduating.
Lost and Damaged Books
Members are required to pay for damaged or lost books, by paying an amount equivalent to the replacement cost of the book.
